Arts Therapy

Arts Therapy, according to the "Arts as Therapy" approach that Berger follows and develops, is a therapeutic discipline that uses playful and artistic frameworks to help people express themselves, process experiences, develop and heal. It helps individuals, group and communities develop communication and social skills while easing loneliness, developing creativity and resilience and making changes in life.

The Intermodal approach Berger uses and develops integrates and shifts between different art forms (drama, dance, visual arts, writing and music), while expanding the person's and community ways of expression and communication, widening perspectives and meaning. It enriches the knowledge, skills and coping mechanisms promoting wellbeing, happiness and resilience.

Ronen Berger is a leading researcher, author and trainer in play, drama and arts therapy. He is a world expert in group and community resilience and post trauma work integrating different art forms and performance to promote the process. He developed many practical theories and methods for intervention, assessment and supervision which are published in 9 books as well as in many articles and book chapters.
